A heavy hitting aresenal of melodic singing mixed with brutal nu-metal, Hillspot got their start as a group of little kids with a dream of controlling the world through music. As only eighth graders, singer/guitarist Tom Judge and bottom-dweller Adam Buttacavoli had no clue what they were getting into when the decided to start Hillspot. After various member changes and reformations, the group emerged as a heavy powerhouse, with Dan Meinhart beating his drums to a rythmic pulp, Adam provinding relentless bass assault, Ben Mutchler punching out the riffs and Tom's bipolar "silent to screaming" vocals, the band was on the road to success.
After a year of endless rehearsal and local shows, the members of Hillspot decided to hit the studios and record their debut EP One Word Answers. The fearsome foursome decided on the title by simply saying: "Every song has only one word, describing the different trials and tribulations of life through song. We hope to give the audience the answers to these trials through our music, sending out a 'light at the end of the tunnel' message." But make no mistake, Hillspots music is enough to knock the average person off their feet. This melodicore four piece is here to demolish the boundries and set the standard for heavy music around the nation......no wait, how 'bout the whole fuckin' world?
